Hand Delivered

Recently whilst I was at a craft retreat I attended a class on colouring with alcohol markers. We got even better results using a watercolour paper as these markers can give a great depth perception to images with colour.

The trick is to build the colour up and feature the image as if there is light shining on it. You can see the balloons are darker underneath to give the impression of shadows.

I love how the skirt on the dress looks like there is a fold on the right hand side as well. Even the legs have depth as id the dress is providing a shadow.

I am hoping my technique improves with practice as I really love the look and using these types of markers.
