Paradise Palms

There is something so relaxing about palm trees. The representation of summer and the opportunity to sit back and perhaps laze the days away.

This Paradise Palms stamp set just makes me think of summer and sunshine.

I have sneakily used the stamp in the set that is made to replicate sand as the background. Inking it up and stamping both the correct way up and then upside down as well. I have coloured it from the sunshine to the distant and near water to the grass.

Colours used are Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, Balmy Blue and Garden Green. The palm trees are stamped in Basic Black to give the appearance of silhouettes.

The card base is Mango Melody with the message inked in Basic Black onto Basic White card, mounted onto Basic Black card and adhere with Dimensionals.

The trees are shimmering as they have been finished off with the trademark Wink of Stella.

For the second card I have inked up a clear block using the Stampin' Up! markers - all the pinks with a little orange thrown in there too. I have spritzed the block with water to blend the colours together and then stamped onto Basic White card.

The mounted piece of double sided paper is from the hostess set Pattern Party.

These combinations make for two very different cards using the same stamp set. I cannot wait to try other colour combinations too.

Now...where is my Pina Colada?
