My mum has always had a soft spot for handcrafted gifts. Over the years, she’s almost always had a standing order for homemade relishes, sauces, or chutneys—each jar a labour of love.
This Mother’s Day, I decided to try something new: I made a batch of Zucchini Relish from a fresh recipe I found. I really hope she’ll enjoy it as much as she appreciates the thought and effort behind it.
To make the gift extra special, I created a handmade card using a retired Stampin' Up! stamp set called Forever Friends. I stamped this adorable image and then carefully fussy cut around it, raising the cutout on Dimensionals to add some lovely dimension and texture.
For the background, I used a blending brush to softly apply Old Olive ink, giving the card a warm, natural feel. The message was embossed in Basic White on matching Old Olive cardstock, giving it a clean and elegant finish.
I’m excited to give her this thoughtful, homemade gift—crafted with love and a bit of creativity. Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful mums out there!
