This past weekend, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the OnStage Stampin' Up! event in Brisbane, where I participated in a team swap featuring ATC-sized cards, measuring 2.5" x 3.5". The atmosphere was buzzing with creativity and camaraderie, making it a perfect setting for sharing and showcasing our crafts.
For my contribution to the swap, I was excited to feature a brand-new online exclusive stamp set called Resourceful Rusty (#165434). This charming stamp set includes a collection of nine images, showcasing four unique versions of Rusty, all poised to bring a playful touch to any project.
To create my design, I began by embossing the background plaid stamp onto Basic White cardstock, which provided a beautiful textured backdrop. I used the adorable apple stamp, stamped in a vibrant Real Red colour on Pretty in Pink cardstock. The combination of these colours brought a cheerful and inviting essence to my card.
To add a touch of sparkle, I incorporated small pieces of Glimmer cardstock in Pretty in Pink. The glimmer catches the light beautifully, enhancing the overall visual appeal of the piece. I also coloured Rusty using Summer Splash, giving him a refreshing and lively look. To finish off the design, I applied Wink of Stella for that extra hint of shimmer, bringing Rusty to life with an enchanting glisten.
I’m really happy with how my ATC turned out; I think Rusty looks absolutely adorable. I hope the other demonstrators I swapped with will enjoy my cards just as much. Not only are these ATC-sized cards perfect for swapping, they also make wonderful embellishments on the front of standard cards.
Overall, it was a fantastic weekend filled with inspiration and creativity, and I can't wait to create more with the lovely resources and techniques shared among fellow crafters.
