Magical Day - Unicorn

Last weekend we had a Shoe Box Team Day. Everyone (all 14 of us) got together and shared a delicious lunch and quick projects with each other. So we all got to take home 13 new cards to make, and great samples to show.

My card used the Stampin' Up! set Magical Day. There are so many cute characters to be used from this set. I featured the Unicorn, which seems to be every little girls obsession at the moment.

I cased this card from Pinterest. I used Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight and Melon Mambo inks on watercolour paper to give the rainbow background effect. This was a bit of a feat I must admit. I wanted to make it all blend well and have that real look of watercolouring.

Such a simple yet effective card. I used markers to colour in the mane and tail and then finished these off with a bit of Wink of Stella. To make the unicorn stand out even more this was stamped onto Shimmery White cardstock.

This stamp set does come with coordinating Magical Mates Framelits Dies - stamp set and dies are sold as a kit as well. To take your collection even further there is coordinating Myths & Magic Specialty Washi Tape and Myths & Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper.

All coordinate with each other and the dies even match to cut out figures from the Designer Series Paper. The colours are fantastic. A must for your crafting selection.
