Well - we did it! Survived our first child's 18th birthday party at home on Saturday night. I must say though we were very impressed - 45 x 18 year olds and extremely well behaved. The weather was 'reasonable' - not too much rain. Our newly renovated backyard proved to be a huge success too and really suitable for entertaining, just like we planned.This is the birthday cake I made for my son. The theme of the night was come dressed in something black or white, hence the Chocolate Oreo fudge cake pops, covered in white chocolate and with black coloured sugar crystals. No - sorry there are none left either.
